Celebrate The World’s Oldest Rodeo

Celebrate The World’s Oldest Rodeo

Prescott Frontier Days is truly a remarkable place! Not only is there entertainment for the full family but 2016 marks a very special date in the rodeo’s history – the 129th annual celebration of the World’s Oldest Rodeo.

Festivities start on June 28th, 2016 and run through July 4th, 2016, hosted by Prescott Frontier Days, Inc. at the historic Prescott Rodeo Grounds.

Be sure to put on your jeans and boots and come down to the  rodeo groups to enjoy not one, two or three – but EIGHT exciting and surely entertaining rodeo performances.

Perhaps you are seeking a date with your sweetie or a family night on the town. The Prescott Frontier Days can accommodate both.  The rodeo dance will be Thursday, June 30, through Saturday, July 2, at the BMO Harris Bank parking lot on the corner of Sheldon and Montezuma streets. Thursday night is family night. Tickets are $5 per person and can be purchased at the door, by calling 928-445-4320 or visit the website at www.worldsoldestrodeo.com.

Not only will we have rodeo, but there will be a rodeo parade in downtown Prescott at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, with a very special grand marshal, country western legend Tanya Tucker. Tucker has received nine Grammy nominations, numerous awards with the CMA, CMTand ACM and is a member of the Texas Music Hall of Fame and one of CMT’s 40 greatest women of country music.

With record attendance and sponsors at an all-time high, this year will be no exception of another successful week of world-class rodeo with family activities celebrating western history that makes Prescott shine.

See you at the rodeo!
