Poulenc’s Gloria

The choral voices of Yavapai College Master Chorale and Women’s Chorale will join together and share the stage in a combined concert that features the colorful music palette of Poulenc’s brilliant expression in his Gloria, which encompasses a captivating mixture of solemnity and mischievous exuberance through his exquisite harmonies and vibrant rhythms. Pairing this will be Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater written with a heart-felt simplicity of style expressing all the pain and sorrow of the Virgin Mary at the crucifixion of Christ.
