Prescott Frontier Days Parade
The Prescott Frontier Days Parade is at 9 a.m. July 2 at Courthouse Plaza. Thousands of spectators are expected to gather for the second-largest parade in the state (after the Fiesta Bowl parade). There are more than 200 entries, including the Rodeo Royalty court, with young women adorned in silver and multicolored beaded fringe astride equally decked-out equines; the Prescott Regulators and their Shady Ladies, wearing 1800s cowboy and saloon-girl garb; floats from area church and civic groups; and school marching bands. Country Western Superstar Tanya Tucker is the Grand Marshall of the 129th Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo!
Phippen Museum Western Art Show and Sale
The Phippen Museum promises to be another outstanding presentation of fine art at their 42nd Annual Western Art Show & Sale (May 28th – 30th, 2016). A Memorial Day weekend tradition on Prescott, Arizona’s historic courthouse plaza, this extremely popular art event not only attracts art enthusiasts, Western collectors and tourists from far and wide, it also draws some of the nation’s most talented artists. Prescott Highland Games
Hosted by the Prescott Area Celtic Society, a wide array of musicians, Scottish and Highland dancing, pipe bands, British food and drink, handmade crafts, sheepdog demonstrations, Scottish athletic competitions, genealogy tent, massed bands and march of clans. Prescott Fine Art & Wine Fest
This festival is held yearly on Mother’s day, held in Prescott’s courthouse square. In addition to spectacular collectors’ artwork, the Festival presents an Arizona wine garden and marketplace featuring ten of Arizona’s finest Vineyards & Wineries. Each day guests can purchase their wine tasting tickets for $12 and receive their souvenir wine glass. Find more information on their website.
