Met Opera: Manon Lescaut
The Met stage ignites when soprano Kristine Opolais and tenor Jonas Kaufmann join forces in Puccinis obsessive love story. Opolais sings the title role of the country girls who transforms herself into a Parisian temptress, while Kaufmann is the dashing student who desperately woos her. Director Richard Eyre places the action in occupied France in a film noir setting.
“Desperate passion” is the phrase Puccini himself used to describe the opera that confirmed his position as the preeminent Italian opera composer of his day. Met Principal Conductor Fabio Luisi leads the stirring score.

2016 Next Women of Country Tour

CMT and Grammy-winning singer, songwriter Jennifer Nettles has sold up over 22 million in worldwide record sales since coming into the music scene in 2004. She has eight #1 hits and countless accolades and awards.
Brandy Clark took the 2014 CMA Song of the Year Award for co-writing Kacey Musgraves’ hit “Follow Your Arrow,” and was also voted the 2014 Breakthrough Artist of the Year. She was nominated for 2 GRAMMY Awards in 2015: the all-genre Best New Artist and Best Country Album for her debut album 12 Stories which was released in 2013 on independent label Slate Creek Records.
Lindsay Ell is a triple threat: musician, vocalist and songwriter. The 26-year-old Calgary native received critical acclaim for her singles “Trippin’ On Us” and “Shut Me Up” including being named one of Rolling Stone’s “10 Artists You Need to Know.”
Initially gaining buzz performing at some of Nashville’s premiere listening rooms and writers’ rounds, Tara Thompson is a fiery East Tennessee native signed to The Valory Music Co. The spunky singer/songwriter delivers a fresh and quirky tongue-in-cheek spin on her life experiences that people relate to and love.
