A Family Friendly Musical
If you are looking for something fun to do with the whole family, check out The Music Man, family entertainment at its best. Meredith Wilson’s six-time, Tony Award winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957 and is a family-friendly story to be shared with every generation.
“The Music Man” follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he tricks the people of River City, Iowa into purchasing musical instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to create – even though he doesn’t know the difference between a banjo and a bass clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall.
Don’t miss this fun production, under the direction of Yavapai College Dean of Arts & Humanities Dr. Craig Ralston.
