Yavapai Humane Society (YHS) is joining national animal welfare organization Best Friends Animal Society, along with animal rescue groups and shelters across the country, in the “Give Love” annual animal adoption campaign starting Feb. 1 and running through Feb. 14, 2017.
YHS is an active partner in Best Friends No More Homeless Pets® Network which offers help and support to animal rescue groups that save lives in their communities.
Free cowboy valentine activity for kids
Reserve a seat at the Phippen Museum’s free Youth Art Workshop on Cowboy Valentines, for 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4. Call for reservations, as class size is limited.
A handmade gift always says you care, and with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, the Phippen Museum offers kids the perfect opportunity to show family and friends their love and appreciation at this free Valentine workshop.
This unique art opportunity uses the museum’s resources and staff-guided instruction to help children create their own handmade valentine for that special someone. Participants will explore several artistic techniques in this fun-filled activity, including ink stamping, appliques, lace making and clay molding.
