Are You a Fan of Fairy Tales?
You know the ones…Cinderella, The Big Bad Wolf, Hansel and Gretel and the many more out there?
Well James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone’s favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece…and a rare modern classic.
The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching.
The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse.
Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.
Hmmmmm….how will this story end? You’ll have to come March 24 or 25th at 7 PM or Sunday, March 26th at 3 PM. For more info, see http://prescottrealestate.guru/event/spring-musical-into-the-woods/
Who Doesn’t Love Fresh Fruits and Vegetables?
Get ready to buy farm fresh fruits and vegetables on Thursday 9/1 at Olsen’s Grain in Chino Valley, Chino Valley Market Farmer’s Market from 3:00 PM. to 6:00 PM. More details about the event are at the bottom of this article! This is a great opportunity to help support our local farmers, as well as be able to purchase fresh, healthy produce. There will be a variety of produce there to choose from with different tastes and different nutritional values, all from the Prescott area.
There are so many benefits of having locally grown and prepared produce, which you can learn at the Market this Thursday.
By having our own local source to buy produce from, our community will be supporting good agricultural practices. This will provide us with a clean environment, which will give us a little bit more open space, more water, and more soil. By minimizing the distance our produce travels, we will be reducing the use of fossil fuels. We will have a lot more community involvement by having this Farmer’s Market, which will grow the community together! In return, when we contribute our money locally that we spend on produce, our money will stay locally in the Prescott Community. This will be beneficial in the long run because we will know that we will have produce even if something catastrophic happened in the world we live in.
A variety of payments can be taken to include cash, EBT (an electronic system that allows state welfare departments to issue benefits via a magnetically encoded payment card and most farmers are accepting WIC (The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children that provides Federal grants to States for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.)
Visit the Chino Valley Market Farmer’s Market is on September 1, 2016 from 3:00 PM. to 6:00 PM. at Olsen’s Grain 344 AZ-89 Chino Valley, AZ 86323. We hope to see you on Thursday for this event that could change our community in a very positive way!
